The Phone app as usual holds contacts, dialer and log application together. The dialer has specious keys and smart dial is present too. Contacts app can synchronise your contacts from Gmail Account, Facebook and Twitter.

There’s a nicely designed calendar app which takes care of your meetings and anniversaries. Along with regular Month, Day and Week view the calendar app also has one more interesting view called Diary.  Just like physical diary which keeps track of your appointments, the diary view on Atrix 2 will see that you don’t miss any of them.

Just like Calendar, Tasks app also gets boosted functionality. It sorts your tasks as ‘All Tasks’, ‘Overdue’, ‘Due Today’, ‘Starred’, ‘By Priority’ and by ‘Tags’.  This approach clearly shows that Motorola has focused extensivley on Personal Information Management.

Apart from this, a handy Alarm clock & Timer (combined) app is loaded which has very neat and simple interface.  The Calculator app is the standard Android app you get. In both portrait and landscape modes it can show advanced panel which has advanced features. Atrix 2 also comes preloaded with latest QuickOffice suite for viewing and editing your MS Office documents and supports Office 2007 files also. It also supports viewing PDF files

Gallery:

The Atrix 2 has the custom MotoBlur gallery. Just like any other app on Atrix 2, Gallery also get enhanced functionality. It is capable of displaying photos from few photo sharing sites like Picasa and Photobucket and it also integrates very well withyour  Facebook and Twitter accounts. It can download and display your FB albums and can also show uploads from your friends. So Gallery is high on social network integration.  In portrait mode it shows photos in grid layout but as soon as you switch to landscape mode you get cool coverflow like interface to view photos and videos.  The Gallery is very youthful and appeal to anyone.  The video player plays even 1080p HD videos flawlessly. The Atrix 2 has decent audio quality but the loudspeaker of Atrix 2 is very weak. The Music player is feature rich but you can’t customize the equalizer. The music player can search online for both album arts and lyrics.  Lyrics service is powered by TuneWiki. It can also be used to identify the songs playing around you.
