Here’s a great news for the Indian Nexus fans. Google’s latest Nexus 6 smartphone, made in partnership with Motorola is now available for purchase in India. And for the first time in the history on Nexus smartphones, Nexus 6 has been priced on par with other flagships. In other words it costs premium.
Google Nexus 6 has now been priced on Play Store but it’s not avialble for purchase yet as it shows status as “Coming Soon”. Users get two memory variants to choose from, 32GB and 64GB. 32GB variant will cost ~ $716 (Rs.44,000) while 64GB is priced at ~ $800 (Rs.49,000). You can get it in two colors, Cloud White and Midnight Blue. Its retail package will Motorola’s Turbo charger as well.
Nexus 6 is identical to Motorola’s second generation Moto X but some of its specs have been bumped up to put it at par with the competition. With the spec such as 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processors, 3GB RAM, Quad HD ( 2560×1440) AMOLED display, 13MP camera with OIS, Nexus 6 threatens many flagships without breaking a sweat. It has a massive 3220 mAh battery which when charged with Motorola’s Turbo charger, gives 6 hours of battery life in 15 minutes. What makes it better is the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 and Google’s promise of fast and latest updates. Nexus 6 will be a serious competition to other phablets and especially Samsung’s Note series.
Given the rapport Motorola has build over the last year along with Nexus series’ loyal fanbase, Google doesn’t even need marketing to push Nexus 6. Provided that the Indians are now able to spend such a big amount on flagships, Nexus 6 will easily find takers. For those who don’t want to spend on Nexus 6 and still want to have Nexus phone, Nexus 5 is still available for purchase.
