Nokia has announced their latest featurephone, Nokia 515. Nokia’s featurephones are making a comeback and that too in an attractive design. Nokia 515 uses single piece of anodised, sandblasted aluminium chassis. On the top of it, Nokia 515 it also uses Gorilla Glass 2 and a curved glass display, probably for the first time in the segment. All these in a old fashioned, candybar and alphanumeric form factor which is also just 11mm thick.
Coming to the spec sheet, Nokia 515 does have some impressive specs especially the camera. It has a 2.4 inch QVGA LCD display. On the back there’s 5MP with LED flash camera which uses wide angle lens. The camera has following features,
Panorama – for wide-angle shots, including group photos and landscapes.
– Sequential shots – capture up to five frames in a row with just one click, then choose the best of the series.
– Self-portrait – for perfectly-centred self-portraits, even without a front-facing camera. The built-in voice prompt guides people to ensure they are in the frame before taking the shot.
Nokia 515 also offers 3.5G connectivity along with regular Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity. Nokia 515 also offers HD voice for crystal clear conversations. There’ll be two variants of the Nokia 515 available, single SIM and dual SIM. Dual SIM variant will come with Nokia’s Easy Swap techonology.
Nokia 515 will start selling in September and will be initially available in Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Poland. It’ll be priced at $149.
