Among other phones launched yesterday, HTC also introduced their first Windows Phone to Indian market. HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S are the first HTC phones to run on Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system Windows Phone 8. As Microsoft calls them, they are the ‘signature’ Windows Phone. The Windows Phone 8X is the flagship Windows Phone by HTC. It is powered by a dual core 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. It has 4.3″ SuperLCD2 HD (720p) display with Gorilla Glass 2 to protect it. Windows Phone 8X features 8 MP camera with F/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens. For the first time on smartphones, Windows Phone 8X has 2.1 MP which boasts ultra-wide-angle lens, F/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. It has 16GB of internal memory with no option to expand it further.
HTC Windows Phone 8X
Windows Phone 8S is another HTC Windows Phone 8 device that was launched yesterday. It is ideal for people looking for cheaper alternative to 8X. It’s a younger brother to 8X. While it has same CPU as 8X, the RAM has been stripped down to just 512 MB. Other speficiations include 4″ SuperLCD 2 display with WVGA resolution. It has 5 MP rear camera with LED flash,BSI sensor.
HTC Windows Phone 8S
Both the phones will be available in various colors. The Windows Phone 8X will retail around for Rs.32,023 while Windows Phone 8S will cost Rs.19,260. Both the phones will start selling from this phone.
