HTC has confirmed that its pushing Android Lollipop update to the Google Play editions of its current and ex flagships, One M8 and M7. Android 5.0 update was supposed to come out a week back but HTC faced technical delays. The latest update takes devices straight to Android 5.0.1, which Google released recently to fix some issues.
HTC’s product VP, Mo Versi tweeted earlier this morning confirming that the company has received technical approval from Google to go ahead with the updates for its GPe devices. These updates will arrive in the form of OTA updates, starting today. HTC has also uploaded update binaries and source code to its HTC Dev portal.
