Huawei Devices yesterday unveiled the Ascend P2, Android running smartphone,at Mobile World Congress 2013. The company claims it’s the fastest device to the date. It’s fastest not by the processor speed which we have already seen on other competing devices but it’s the first phone to feature LTE Cat4 technology which makes internet experience ultra-fast. Not only that it’s also one of the slimmest phone out there with just 8.4mm thickness. The Ascend P2 has 1.5 GHz quadcore processor running at it’s heart. It features 4.7″ HD LCD IPS display featuring ‘magic touch’ (super sensitive touch on Lumia 920) which makes it possible to use it even with gloves on. Ascend will have 13 MP BSI sensor camera and 1.3 MP front camera. The new 4G technology will provide 150 Mbps speed and it’s also equipped with NFC. Ascend P2 will come with 2420 mAh battery and Huawei claims that there new technologies will reduce battery consumption while also reducing charging time by 25%. Ascned P2 will come with Android 4.1 with Huawei’s home-brew Emotion UI 1.5. The handset is expected to hit the shelves in the Q2 2013. Orange France will launch the device in June 2013.
