Huawei Plays Smart With Cheap And Ready To Buy Honor Bee

In Indian market sub-$80 (Rs.5,000) has become a segment to watch because new of exciting products coming in. These new smartphones are offering probably the best value for money from the Indian perspective. One such new phone we have today is Huawei’s Honor Bee that will sell for $80 or INR 4,999 and exclusively on Flipkart. At this price, it will compete with InFocus M2 and Micromax Canvas Spark but since both are available only through flash sales, unlike Bee which is readily available.

Huawei is already selling Honor Holly for the equivalent of $110 (INR 7k) but has seen limited success so far. Honor Bee could is cheaper by whole $30 or INR 2k which is significant in Indian context. For less than $80 offers decent hardware which is definitely not going to be chart topper but will deliver a satisfying experience, at least that’s what my (limited) experience tells me. Build quality is matching to such a cheap price tag meaning it’s just okish. It’s far from what you’d experience on Huawei’s other phones like Honor 4X. But I couldn’t complain about it. It features a 4.5-inch display with FWVGA (480×854) which is acceptable. There’s an 8MP camera as well with dual LED flash along with a 2MP front cam. Running this whole setup is a Spreadtrum 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of storage as well. It packs sufficiently reasonable 1730 mAh battery.

If you think even $80 is too high a price, Flipkart is offering flat 10% discount on Honor Bee if purchased using credit or debit cards. There are few more offers available as well which make Honor Bee an attractive phone among all phones by Huawei. I’m going to keep an eye on this segment and especially for Honor Bee future seems promising.
