Sony’s upcoming flagship the Sony Xperia XZ1 has been leaked in all its glory. What appears to be the production unit, posed for the camera telling us everything about Sony’s flagship for this year.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 shall continue to use the same design as current Xperia XZ lineup with few changes here and there. It appears, though, that in 2017 where everyone is going for minimum bezels all around the display, Sony is stuck with thick top and bottom bezels. Even the budget phones like LG Q6 have very minimal bezels. The NFC sensor has been moved to be in line with flash and IR sensor, which is the only visual change on the back. The fingerprint sensor will be embeded within the side mounted power button as usual
The Sony Xperia XZ1 will have Snapdragon 835 processor along with 64GB internal storage. No confirmation on the amount of RAM but hopefully it will not be less than 4GB. It will be more like a smaller version of Xperia XZ Premium. The current Xperia XZ uses Snapdragon 820. The camera will be the same 19MP module with MotionEye and 960 fps slow mo video recording. It will have a 5.2-inch HDR display. The Sony Xperia XZ1 will also be IP65/68 dust and water resistant.
It is expected to be unveiled on August 31 at IFA, Berlin along with Xperia XZ1 Compact.
