Phablet we all know so far came with screens bigger than 5.5 inches but stayed under 6 inches. That’s what the general idea of phablets is. Lenovo has already pushed the extremes with its PHAB Plus, which is now available in India.
Lenovo PHAB Plus has a 6.8-inch screen, just under 7 inch where tablet territory begins. I would still prefer to call it a tablet. It has unibody design made up of aluminum. It’s Lenovo’s one of the premium offering in this segment.
It’s powered by 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615, has 2GB RAM which in combination drives the 6.8-inch FullHD display. It has 32GB storage with microSD slot for expansion. Phab Plus also has a 13MP camera with dual LED flash on rear and 5MP camera on the front. As with most other Lenovo handhelds, PHAB Plus too has Dolby Audio.
The 3,500 mAh battery keeps PHAB Plus running. It has dual SIM support with support for Indian 4G LTE bands.
PHAB Plus sure looks good and has good specs as well, but it will have to carve out space for itself in this slumping tablet market. Lenovo India will be selling it online at Amazon India and offline in Croma and Reliance stores for INR 20,999 (~$323).
