Lenovo has just entered the growing market of stick PCs with its latest Ideacenter Stick 300. There are already various OEMs selling such stick PCs that come with different operating systems. Although the concept isn’t entirely new, Lenovo is doing it for the first time. Stick 300 is compatible with displays with HDMI port. So just need to plug it into an HDMI port, pair it with wireless mouse and keyboard and boom, it’s now a full-fledged PC.
Of course, it’s not a powerhouse to carry out your heavyweight tasks like Photoshop but you can do most of the casual tasks with it. This tiny, little Stick 300 packs so many features, it blows away our minds. There’s an Intel’s Atom Z3735F (quad-core, 1.8GHz) powers it along with 2GB of RAM. It also has 32GB internal memory and its complete with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It can read your SD cards, has an USB port and in the display doesn’t have speakers, Stick 300 will take care of that too with its tiny speaker. Even with so many features inside, this nifty, little thing is just 15mm thick.
It is expected to on sale in July and for $129. It will come pre-loaded with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and three months trial of Office 365.
