Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30 which company showcased in India last month is now finally available for purchase. Owning one of these will cost you ~$187 (Rs.11,800). In contrast, the pricing announced at CES2015 was $129 (~Rs.8,100). Price difference is quite significant. You can pick it up either at Reliance Digital or Amazon India.
Lenovo’s Tab 2 series of affordable tablets was launched at CES2015 in January and A7-30 is one of them. Its specsheet includes MediaTek MT8382M quad-core processor running at 1.3GHz and has 1GB RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD slot. It features 7 inch display with HD display. It also boasts Dolby Audio. Tab 2 A7-30 has connectivity and (bonus!) you can also use it for calling.
But, it’s not going to all merry for Lenovo has Indian market has really stiff competition for any devices and Tab 2 A7-30 isn’t an exception. It will have to compete with Xiaomi’s Mi Pad which already has huge fan following in India but Lenovo’s offering trumps Xiaomi in the connectivity as it has 3G connectivity which Mi Pad lacks.
