India has become a key market for Motorola but Moto G users in India had to wait so long for the Android Lollipop ever since Motorola’s update plan announcement put them on excitement. It started rolling out in other regions some time back even before Google’s Nexus lineup. So obviously, Indian users were waiting for it anxiously. But waiting period is over now, folks!
Motorola has started rolling out Android Lollipop (5.0.1) update to its users in India. Good thing is that both the editions of Moto G, 1st and 2nd, are getting the update. That certainly is a good news. Motorola has skipped the 5.0 (because of bugs) and jumped directly to 5.0.1 and maybe that’s why they took longer than expected. If you’re connected to internet, your Moto G will show notify about the update or else you can go to settings and manually check for the update.
Since Motorola barely customizes the Android OS, you are going to get a close to stock experience which is as good as Android on Nexus. Nonetheless, Android Lollipop brings a completely new UI. Let us know what you feel about your Moto G after the update. Now, next in list for Motorola is Moto X (1st gen) and Moto E. Hopefully, their update are around the corner too.
