So just as promised Motorola has launched the much awaited Moto G in the Indian market. Unlike the international version, the one launched in India is the dual SIM variant. It’ll be available in both 8GB and 16GB versions in the Indian market. Sticking to its motto, ‘Exceptional Price’, Motorola will be selling the
8GB variant for Rs. 12,999 while the 16GB version would cost you Rs.14,499. Here’s a small update, Flipkart has confirmed Moto G’s price as Rs.12,499 for 8GB variant and Rs.13,999 for 16GB, both Rs.500 less. The handset will be available through Flipkart which is the exclusive for selling Moto G in India. Flipkart will start taking orders from tomorrow that is 6th February. Given the specs Moto G is offering for its price tag, Moto G is already a hit elsewhere and the dual SIM functionality adds more to its value now. Flipkart is further offering discounts on some of other products in its store once you buy the Moto G from them. This includes discounts on eBook and clothing, 70% off on Moto G shells and chance to get 100% cashback in the form of store credits.
Our advice would be to go for the 16GB version as the handset doesn’t have expandable storage. But this phone has got really exceptional hardware and recently it received Android OS updates along with the Nexus lineup. Such kind of treatments shouldn’t be expected for the other phones from other manufacturers in this segment, especially domestic ones.Moto G is surely going to heat up the competition in the crowded Indian market, particularly the mid-range. The one who is best will take it away.
