In the fresh news, Motorola is preparing to launch a new handset in the May, precisely on May 13th. Motorola has already sent out the invitations for the event which is supposed to take place in the London. Company didn’t mention what handset it is going to be but from the text on its invitation, it looks like it’s going to be a mass market phone. It invitation reads, “Connect more people to the world’s information and each other, and they can do great things. Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make these connections happen. Made to last. Priced for all.” While this doesn’t say anything explicitly much about the upcoming handset, it could be the cheaper Moto E, cheaper than Moto G.
Moto E will supposedly run on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM, feature a 4.3 inch 720p display, 5MP rear shooter and come with 1900 mAh battery. Moto E is also rumored to have a digital TV tuner. This will also be the company’s first handset launch since Lenovo announced the acquisition. But there shouldn’t be any significant impact so soon, on this handset at the least. Given how well Motorola played its cards with Moto X and Moto G, Moto E too will hopefully set the benchmark for its segment.
