According to SamMobile which is very famous for Samsung internal news, Samsung won’t be releasing any new bada and Tizen devices in second half of 2012.We had seen Tizen devices earlier this year which were given out to developers and were expecting to see them to consumer market soon but this news comes as a disappointment.
This is mainly because Samsung wants to focus on Windows Phone 8 devices and Android. Nokia, the recent entrant in Windows Phone business has 59% share of total Windows Phones sold and may be this fact didn’t go well with Samsung. Thus to regain the position Samsung is prepping new WP8 devices which should arrive sometime in Q3/Q4. We already know that Samsung has almost phased out bada OS and merged it with Tizen and since bada OS failed to gain attraction this news shouldn’t bother anyone. But the first ever Tizen device will come no before than 2013. SamMobile also reports that devs who have been given Tizen devices are not satisfied because of the lack of support needed for development from Tizen itself. If this remains we guess Tizen will have no better fate than MeeGo or even bada OS.
