Nokia Lumia 920 With PureMotion HD+ Goes OfficialSeptember 5, 2012
Today Nokia announced the latest Windows Phone 8 flagship, Lumia 920. With Lumia 920, Nokia has also introduced next phase of PureView of technology. Lumia 920 design has polycarbonate unibody construction. The Lumia 920 features 4.5″ LCD display with PureMotion HD+ technology. The PureMotion HD+ technology offers resolution higher than HD i.e. WXGA (1280×768). It also offers higher refresh rates (60 Hz) thus giving blur free scrolling. The Lumia 920 display is curved glass display (2.5d) like on N9 and also comes with the improved version of ClearBlack technology to give the best possible sunlight legibility. Lumia 920 comes with many firsts for Nokia phones. Firstly it comes with huge 2000 mAh battery. Then there’s Wireless Charging for Lumia 920 which is provided by Fatboy charging pad. The Lumia 920 is powered by Snapdragon S4 dual core Krait processor and Adreno 225 and 1GB of RAM to keep it going all smooth. It’ll feature 32GB mass memory but no microSD card slot for expansion.
What also makes Lumia 920 special is the new PureView imaging technology. It’s quite different than what we’ve seen on Nokia 808 PureView. The cam on Lumia 920 is optimized for better low light photography. Also present is the OSI (Optical Image Stabilization) which is on par with the digital image stabilization commonly found in most cameraphones. OSI technology is mostly found standalone SLRs. The camera on Lumia 920 is 8.7 MP with Carl Zeiss optics.
