Everyday starts with a new rumor of Nokia Lumia 928. Lumia 928 is supposed to be the upgraded version of current flagship Lumia 920. Ok, we’ve been seeing it but not covered it. Forgive us for that. But hey, we have a freshly leaked photo of it. In this latest snap, Lumia 928, thanks to @evleaks.
This photo clears up the design aspect of the device. The design looks like the combo of Lumia 920 and Lumia 810 for T-Mobile. You can clearly see in the picture that it doesn’t have same curved back as Lumia 920. But it has the boxy shape like 810, look at the edges. The device also sports proper “PureView” branding, even Lumia 920 doesn’t have it on it. So we wonder if it’ll also have increased megapixel count. And the device is clearly heading for the leading U.S. carrier, Verizon Wireless. Yesterday The Verge reported that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop gave a hint about next “hero” Lumia heading for the “leading U.S. carrier” and we believe this is the same device that will land up on the carrier. According to Elop, we’ll see this device “later this quarter”. There are still little more than two months in this quarter. The Lumia sales though have increased, 5.6 M from 4.4 M in Q4 2012, it has hardly penetrated the USA and declining sales tell the same story. Verizon is the biggest operator in the States and joining hands with it should give company the much needed push for its Lumia devices.
