Nokia unveils Asha 200, Asha 300 and X2-02 in India


Today on 1st Decemeber 2011 Nokia unveiled the Asha series in India which was first announced at Nokia World earlier this year. As a part of ‘Asha’ series Nokia announced Asha 200 and Asha 300 in India. Along with Asha series phones Nokia also announced their latest dual SIM handset, Nokia X2-02. While Asha 200 is first QWERTY dual SIM phone, Asha 300 is touch-and-type phone which also has 1GHz processor ticking inside.

 

 

Unveiling the new phones, Mr. D Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia India, said, “At Nokia, we believe in offering our consumers products that reflect and meet their fast-changing needs and aspirations. We constantly strive to offer our consumers the best technology suited to them through affordable and relevant innovations. Nokia Asha 200 and Nokia X2-02 will set new benchmarks in the mobile internet and music space in the Dual SIM category.”

Asha 200 features ‘Easy Swap’ to switch between SIMs without turning phone off. The phone also features 2MP Camera and FM Radio. Asha 300 comes with 5MP Camera with LED flash capable of recording videos in VGA format.  Asha 300 also features 3G (HSPA) for fast and easy access to the internet.

The latest dual SIM phone X2-02, like Asha 200, also features ‘Easy Swap’ function. It also supports memory cards upto 32GB and apart from regular music functions it also a function unique to it, ‘Play via FM’ or in simple words FM Transmitter function. This will let users share their songs on Radio.
