Obi SF1 is no doubt beautiful, but it’s got an equally pretty younger sibling that’s just little cheaper. Named after San Jose in the USA, SJ1.5 is a budget phone from Obi. Like SF1, SJ1.5 does no compromise on design and things that matter to the smartphone users.
Obi SJ1.5 has a 5-inch 720p display that uses 2.5D curved glass. The first smartphone I remember to use such a glass is Nokia N9. It features an unibody polycarbonate design and Obi says it has used high-quality materials for it. It is for sure a breath of fresh air in smartphone design.
Now that I’m done praising its design, let’s have a look at its spec sheet. SJ1.5 has a MediaTek 6580 quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. It’s dual SIM as well with 3G support. There’s an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. It even packs a 3000 mAh battery.
Price for this package? Just $129. You can grab it only from October. Those in the USA, don’t have your hopes high, there’s no mention on US availability.
