We know that Sony has been working very closely recently with Google on Android. It’s also the major OEM by contribution to the Android community. As a result Sony had built the AOSP ROM for their yesteryear flagship Xperia S. Continuing on the similar lines and working even more closely with Google as well as Qualcomm, Sony has pushed the AOSP version of the latest Android JellyBean 4.3. The AOSP versions are vanilla ones with no Sony’s proprietary apps. At this stage, the builds are not very stable and only advanced users should test them. Sony has eased the job of custom ROM makers by pushing these versions to GitHub where devs can easily access them and create their own derivatives.
