Sony has commenced updating their Xperia 2012 lineup of smartphones from this week. In the first round Xperia V, Xperia T and Xperia TX will be updated to Android 4.1 Jellybean. The Android 4.1 Jellybean update for Xperia devices will, apart from standard Android features, also bring updated Sony media apps such as Walkman, Album and Movies. It’ll also increase number of homescreen to seven with addition of auto-resizable widgets and actionable notifications thus improving the user experience. It also adds the ability to search for the apps in the application tray. Sony has also improved camera interface. Last not but no least, it also added Google Now to the Xperia smartphones. The update could be delivered via OTA (over-the-air) or through Sony PC Companion app on Windows and Bridge for Mac for Mac users.
