Sony Xperia XA1 India Launch; Offers Too Little For Its Price

Soon after the Xperia XZs, we have one more Sony phone here in India and that’s Sony Xperia XA1. This one belongs to the mid-range in Sony’s portfolio.

The Xperia XA1 features just about decent spec sheet. Instead of beating around the bush, let’s see what it offers. There’s MediaTek Helio P20 chipset on offer with 3GB RAM. Its 5-inch display has 720p HD resolution. Photography and video are handled by the 23MP camera on the rear while the selfies are taken care by the 8MP camera on the front. The Indian variant of Xperia XA1 will be coming with dual SIM 4G support. The not so exciting part of the Xperia XA1 is its tiny 2,300 mAh battery. And since it’s just a mid-range phone, it doesn’t even get waterproofing capabilities, which could have been its standout feature.

Now it doesn’t take an expert to tell Sony doesn’t really know the Indian market. With phones that offer way better value for money and spec sheet, Sony will have issues convincing people to buy Xperia XA1.
