Sony Xperia XZ1 is joining the ranks along with other flagships that are soon to launch in India.
In terms of design, the Sony Xperia XZ1 seems stuck in 2015 with its thick top and bottom bezels. With its dimensions, its the only compact phone in the market to have flagship specs. It has a 5.2-inch FullHD display that’s protected by Gorilla Glass. There’s Snapdragon 835 processor that’s also mated to 4GB RAM. The power button on the right side incorporates the fingerprint sensor.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 boasts the new 19MP camera which can do 4K UltraHD as well as 960 fps slow-mo videos. The camera gets assistance from laser sensor for fast and accurate focus. The front 13MP camera has 22mm wide angle lens. Sony’s flagship also has stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio with Digital Noise and VPT (Virtual Phones Technology) for simulated surround sound.
As was the case with its predecessor, the Sony Xperia XZ1 is also IP65/68 rated dust and water resistant. The India variant also supports dual SIM. There’s USB Type-C along with Quick Charge 3.0. Its battery is rated at a mere 2,700 mAh but Sony claims its sufficient to last all day long with its Stamina Mode 3.0.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 will be available for Rs.44,000 (~US $690) and as of now, it’s available only in black color. It will run Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.
