Xperia Z5 Compact is the smallest and also the thickest of three. The good news is Sony hasn’t compromised on its raw power. It has 4.6 inch display with 720p HD resolution.

Xperia Z5 is standard size successor to Xperia Z4/Z3+. It’s got a 5.2 inch FullHD 1080p display.

Xperia Z5 Premium is rather a phablet in Z5 series. It is the first phone in the market to feature UltraHD 4K display. The physical size of the display is 5.5 inch.

Now that we talked about differences let’s see what all is common between these three. All of them are powered by Snapdragon 810 processor. While Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium have 3GB RAM, Z5 Compact has 1GB less, that is, 2GB.

Sony has used a totally new camera module for the first time since Xperia Z1. It consists of 1/2.3 inch sensor, and the resolution has been upped to 23MP. Sony is also flaunting low-light photography capability of its new phones. All of them are IP68 certified making them dust-resistant and waterproof. Xperia Z5 Compact, Z5 and Z5 Premium have 2700 mAh, 2900 mAh and 3430 mAh batteries respectively.

These three phones come in different colors, but the Chrome variant of Xperia Z5 Premium looks sexier than others. Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 will start rolling out globally in October while Xperia Z5 Premium will come in November. There will also be dual SIM variants of Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium.
