USA Warns Consumers Against ZTE,Huawei Over Security Threat

The House Intelligence Committee of USA yesterday released a report which accuses two Chinese handset makers, Huawei and ZTE of posing security threat. Committee head Mike Rogers (R-Mich), released the report during a press conference at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Committee in its report has also asked American consumers to not buy their equipments. The American lawmakers are afraid that these companies could give Chinese government to spy on the American companies or individuals. The committee has also said that neither of the companies could give any proof to prove that the blames put on them are false.

“Neither company was forthcoming with detailed information about its formal relationships or regulatory interaction with Chinese authorities. Neither company provided specific details about the precise role of each company’s Chinese Communist Party Committee.”

The similar concerns were also raised by Indian governments regarding the equipments from Huawei back in 2010. Indian government authority DOT had also disallowed the buying of network equipment from the company.
