HTC’s Desire 612 smartphone will be landing on Verizon Wireless tomorrow. HTC Desire 612 is an affordable, mid-range XLTE ready handset for big red’s network. It’s a Verizon specific variant of existing HTC Desire 610 which is available already on AT&T.
HTC Desire 612 has a moderate spec sheet. Snapdragon 400 CPU is at the heart of the smartphone accompanied by 1GB of RAM. You get a 4.7 inch HD (720p) display, an 8MP cam with flash. And it has HTC’s famous Boomsound too with dual frontal stereo speakers. It runs on Android KitKat (4.4) with HTC Sense UI.
Verizon is giving HTC Desire 612 for free if bought with a new 2 years contract. You can pick up the smartphone from October 9. Verizon customers on ‘More on Everything’ plan would get extra 1GB of data with new purchase or upgrade. Given the carrier’s ‘elite’ status, let’s hope it’ll have really affordable plans for this affordable smartphone.
