It’s raining phones or rather Lumias in the USA. After Microsoft’s Lumia 640 XL landed at AT&T, another mid-ranger Lumia is going to Verizon Wireless. It is Lumia 735 for the big red. This is the third Windows Phone handset in Verizon’s portfolio and the only mid-range one. So the carrier now has a low-end LG Lancet, Lumia 735 sitting in the mid-range and HTC’s One M8 sitting at the top.
Verizon’s version of Lumia 735 is no different than the global one in terms of specs. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor (1.2GHz, quad-core) and has 1GB RAM. It features a compact 4.7-inch AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution. There’s a 6.7MP camera that uses ZEISS optics. It’s 5MP wide angle front camera should be perfect for video calls and selfies. It supports wireless charging as well.
For those wondering and interested, Lumia 735 will cost $192 (off-contract) at Verizon Wireless but there are other plans too. If you pick it up through July 31, you’ll get one year of Office 365 subscription (worth $69) and 1TB of storage for a year.
