You already know Google is now an MVNO or let’s just say a carrier in the USA, right? Google launched its Google Fi service last year. It’s very much alive and kicking. It’s getting better after 10 months and people are loving it already.
The Google Fi program so far required invites to join. Not anymore. Now everyone who is interested and has a supported phone can try out Google’s service. Google’s service uses multi-cellular network backend along with WiFi to make sure connected irrespective of the area you go to including 120 other countries. Google Fi’s pricing and transparency are what set it apart from traditional carriers. For one, you get a refund if some of your monthly allotted data is remaining. Google’s statistics show its users are loving this.
Currently, only three devices are supported: the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and the older Nexus 6. If you’ve none of this and yet want to hop on Google Fi, the Nexus 5X is being offered at $199 for one month.
